Cyfac Revamp Custom Finish Website
French custom bicycle frame builder Cyfac International recently announced the launch of its new custom finish site, which features 2 million paint options. Cyclists can choose from 7 Cyfac paint templates and arrange over 25 color tints to create a unique look for their frame. "We consider the frame finish as important as the build beneath it," says Cyfac co-owner and sales director Eric Sakalowsky. "We use real paint, stencils instead of decals, and focus on realizing each client’s unique desires. Cyfac is all about the individual rider client. We build each frame one-at-a time and the paint process is designed to realize each customer’s own aesthetic tastes. If someone wants a discrete stealth racing machine or the flashiest touring bike ever made, we can deliver." Cyfac offers 26 different models of frames, including road, mountain, track, triathlon, and tandem bikes, and all bikes are built at their factory in the Loire Valley, France. Cyfac uses CATIA software from Dassault for all design work. "CATIA allows for FEA, rapid prototyping support, and all of the bells and whistles that go into design," says Sakalowsky. In-house painting has been a hallmark of Cyfac bikes since the brand was created 30 years ago. Painters can incorporate a rider's name, initials, personal logos, and even the builders' signatures if requested. The company uses water-based paints so it is safer for the environment and painters.
