NIAR’s CAD/CAM Lab will host CATIA V6 Engineering Day

Wichita, KS – The CAD/CAM Lab of Wichita State University’s (WSU) National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) is hosting a unique event for the aviation community on June 21 at the world-class National Center for Aviation Training. CATIA Engineering Day will demonstrate features of the new CATIA Version 6 software for aerospace engineering through in-depth overviews, live demonstrations, hands-on training and customer project presentations from Cessna Aircraft and Spirit AeroSystems.

The event, co-sponsored by Dassault Systemes and Inceptra, will bring together a unique panel of Dassault Systèmes CATIA R&D, marketing, and technical specialists; NIAR research and education leaders; Inceptra technology and services experts; and industry professionals.

“I think this is a great opportunity to see a variety of the V6 tools and to give users a better idea of what V6 is about.” said Shawn Ehrstein, CAD/CAM Lab director, “And there are hands-on sessions that will allow attendees to try out the new features that are demonstrated.”

CATIA Engineering Day is free to CATIA users. It begins with registration at 8:30 a.m. and convenes at 4 p.m. An optional tour of the National Center for Training is offered immediately after the final session. (Please see the attached agenda.)
