On Nov. 12, Dassault Systèmes joined AKKA Technologies to present the Link&Go autonomous and connected concept car for the first time in China at the Michelin Challenge Bidendum Global Summit in Chengdu. AKKA and Dassault formed a strategic partnership on connected transportation and mobility research aimed at creating new driverless cars. Link&Go represents AKKA's unique aerospace, railway, and automotive expertise brought to life through Dassault's 3DExperience design and simulation platform. AKKA and Dassault demonstrated high-end engineering services and cloud-based solutions at Dassault's booth at the Michelin Challenge Bidendum Global Summit. "The transportation and mobility industry is facing complex challenges brought about by urbanization, environmental impact, and changing consumer behaviors -- and on a global scale," said Sylvain Laurent, Dassault executive vice president of market and global business transformation for Asia Pacific. "By coming together to advance mobility through smart technologies, we have the potential to transform an industry, positively impact the planet and set a standard that other industries can follow." Phillipe Obry, chief innovation officer for AKKA, meanwhile, said that, "Driverless and connected vehicles represent key solutions to future urban mobility challenges."
