All About Ghosts in the Vault: Detecting & Eliminating Anomalous Model Links

Track: Information Management

Session Number: 1140
Date: Wed, Feb 27th, 2019
Time: 3:40 PM - 4:05 PM

Description:

A ghost link is a situation where a CATIA product structure contains more components than the same product viewed in CATIA. Not only can ghost links limit design evolution, but business rules often dictate that models cannot be released for production when a ghost link is present in the CATIA product structure. This session will describe not only the different types of ghost links that can occur, but also how to detect, clean, and prevent these shades from appearing in the first place.
