    yeah i saw it and it worked really good your a genius but i made some change coz when i just copied and paste it didnt worked from start and it says i should put this variable lalala etc etc and then atlast it worked.

    but i need one more help

    coz the real problem is i want the number in the middle of the word for example

    Point.1 = PT1TR
    Point.2 =PT2TR
    .
    .
    .
    .
    Point.100 =PT100TR

    how can i make so the counting of the point is in the middle instead of its at the right side ?

    need urgent answer pls

    I don't have catia or the code in front of me right now, but the code is something like this.

    for i = 1 to X
    ptname = prefix & i
    next i

    Just change it to

    for i = 1 to X
    ptname = prefix & i & suffix
    next i

    OMG ty for your help that little code help me thru my problems about making the renaming

    i did remove this code ( n = InputBox("What number would you like to start with?", "Point Rename Input", "100") )

    coz it was useless to use it and its just an input box.

    and same for this code (& n + i) its only working when u have an n= inputbox code and did replace the code the one u posted earlier

    thanks alot craig helm

    p.s

    could u pls check my post about Electrical Termination pls..

    i did use the same code for it just to rename the Terminal but didnt work coz there is some variable or something else missing which the macro didnt react after changes.

    ty again for the helps and tips
