RE: V5R19 Machining Presentation
This is a good date for me.

Recently, I mentioned the max. disc. step error, and DS has already acknowledged the problem. To my shock, I found that although others have seen it, in 19 releases, I am the FIRST to document or write it down in detail! The problem with Video was fixed in less than 2 months! Point is, you guys are really listening, and it's much appreciated.

My apologies, now, for being a bit "over-enthusiastic" when I've been frustrated. I now see that DS has a great willingness to improve, and I hope to help any way I can in a constructive way. I was under a different impression- but now I know better.

You're doing a great job, and let's keep making Catia MFG even better! I'm looking forward to R19 improvements, and very much appreciate the quick attention DS is showing these days to Catia issues.

Back to programming...

Oct 3rd is fine with me. R19 sounds great. Do we have the option to silence any members? I really can't be there long as I'm extremely busy before my trip to France.

Hi Patrick,

I have e-mailed my contacts at IBM, Rand, Incat, TGS, Cenit, and Icam

I have suggested they e-mail their user database of MFG power users, with the news.

I hope that will get a larger turnout.

As I have seen this demo twice, I know everyone that attends will be happy with the progress Dassault has made in enhancing MFG

Best Regards

Dave

I would like to attend if the time works out. So far, I haven't been able to make any of the webinars either because I was at work or on a plane.

Just a few ideas

Since COE is volunteering assistance, I think it would be interesting to have the COE DPC chair run the seminar. I have heard from a few seminar attendees, that they struggle with the foreign accents, being American.

Also, Since I have alerted everyone I know, I expect to see some new names logging into the Webinar. This will be good exposure to both DS, and COE. People will get to know the DPC co chairs, what they do, and understand COE, and the benefits. The DPC chair, can at the conclusion, briefly discuss how to submit ER's, and so on. Than, if people have questions, it is easy to contact Mark.

The downside of this, is everyone likes DS participation, as you can see from reading the many posts referring to this.

If there are a lot of new faces, People like Steve Beach and myself, can also take a minute to give testimonial to attending the COE annual seminars, and ask the expert Webinar's.

I also think, that a pause, after each major functionality, the phones are opened for questions, before going on to the next functionality. on that subject and that only. People would not be allowed to hijack the Webinar, while we are discussing r19 new functionality.

There is an enormous amount of new good stuff in R19. People will want to use it the day it is available

Just thinking out loud

Best Regards
Dave

Dave,

I checked the 3ds website yesterday and it shows that R19 is out and will be shipped starting sept29 so we may see it before this webinar.
Thanks

Thanks for doing this one in multiple sessions Patrick.
I wanted to attend the others, but being a contractor, I didn't feel right about doing it at work.

Patrick and Olivier,

Thanks for an excellent and very informative R19 webinar this morning! I was glad to see a long list of attendees this time.

To those of you who were not able see it, DS has responded to many of our enhancement requests. Some that have been in the system for quite a long time.

I urge everyone to keep posting to the Manufacturing forums. DS is indeed taking notice.

Looking forward to using R19.

Even as the rest of the world may be going a little crazy right now.....
I can sense the buzz that's going around in the last year or so regarding NC Manufacturing.
It's exciting and rewarding to feel us all moving forward.
The enhancements are GREAT......the presentation was GREAT.
We need to keep at it.......keep the enhancemnet requests coming...there's lots more to do !!
Now everybody get your boss's approval (or your own approval if you are your own boss) to head out to Seattle in April '09.

Thanks to all who participated, set-up, ran, and to those who actually LISTENED to us !

It's VERY appreciated......

I like this new enhancement but it is added to MPG workbench which is unfair to people who have only AM2 (advance machining) as they have to pay an extra $10,000 for this enhancement.

Well, I got to see the presentation. I couldn't do it on Friday because that was my last day of my Holland job. I actully worked all day. Us contractors live a rough life.

So, I got up at 4am just to watch this thing.

Wow, I'm impressed. They added check off holders to Roughing! Man we get what we ask for these days. Lots of other cools stuff too.
