As the engineering community continues to increase in the use of digital engineering, join COE for a 2-day workshop exploring best practices and the developing processes and tools within the MBSE realm and how the 3DX platform support this transformation.

Day 1 will focus on the importance of Requirements in driving the engineering design process, focusing on a quality approach to set the path for successful implementation of the design process. We will explore both good requirements that transform a customer’s needs into an engineering program destined for success and poor requirements that lack direction for successful validation. Additional topics to be explored are the importance of the “Engineering V” and requirements management and traceability through the design process.

Day 2 will focus on converting those requirements into MBSE tasks. We will look at some of the emerging tools to help trace the requirements to an end design that validates the initial problem statement. In doing so, we will explore bringing the digital world into reality through SysML’s four pillars of Requirements, Behavior, Structure, and Parametrics.  Some tools to be explored include CATIA Magic, and Process Composer.
