In this presentation, we will share our experience with transitioning VB macros and scripts from CATIA V5 to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Among many, the following topics are discussed:
• New scripting platforms and macro libraries
• Transitioning from document-based to object-based data paradigm
• 3DEXPERIENCE services vs. V5 access methods
o Working with the 3DEXPERIENCE database (new content, searching, saving)
o Editor-level services (measurements, inertia, cross-sections, etc.)
• New Product modeler (Instance/Reference paradigm)
• Working with Part modeler and Drawings
• Selection methods
