RE: V4 to V5 Drawing Migration (Text and Dimensions)

You need to setup the V4 Project within V5, i.e. in Tools/Options/General/Compatiblity, you need the PROJECT File Path and the DLNAME, without this setup correctly you won't get Text and Dimensions coming over.
