2012 COE Conference and TechniFair

I Have been trying to get manager approval to attend a COE conference for years.

Others in the company go, but I am having trouble convincing my manager.

I am the only one in the whole company that has CATIA certification, and would love to attend. I enjoy learning new aspects of CATIA and think this would be benificial to me.

I guess my question is, has anyone had to put together a case for approval before? If so, what would you recomend I say? Or does anyone have a presintation they have ysed in the past?

Have you looked at the templates on the COE website for trying to obtain management approvals, or justification.

go to the conference page and there is a menu that says why attend.  you will find justification letter examples there.

Hi Arron,

I have been to 4 of the last 5 COE conferences, if I am allowed to count this one.

What is your job function ( design, mfg, IT, KBE), and I will taylor my justification for you.

Look at the specific topics. Are you an expert in all of them...... well.... your competion is going to COE to get a leg up on you!
