Howdy,
Can anyone tell me how to get a high resolution image out of Catia.
Apparently, what I snag using "Tools>Image>Capture..." isn't good enough.
Maybe somehow export the assembly/part it to some other tool?.....
In the same function you described there are options under the "Pixel" tab for changing rendering quality and anti-aliasing. On top of that you could try to save to a less compressed format such as bitmap or TIFF.
Thanks Gary. I'm aware of those; but, my marketting fellow says its not good enough. So, I was hoping someone had another idea.
I'm toying with exporting as STL, then importing to Blender - to use its rendering capabilities, and then snagging a capture.
(FYI: i'm looking for a free solution)
Use Photo Studio if you have the license. Go to Start+Infrastructure+Photo Studio.
It lets you create a background environment too and also creates very high resolution images. Just takes a while to render if you have a slow machine.
This is the workbench for High Resolution Images, so check out the help section on how to use it.
Thanks Roger.
Unfortunately, I do not have access to that module.
Looks like you need license PHS - Photo Studio 2. That will get you your high resolution images directly from CATIA.
I ended up snagging another team's license of 3DVIA Composer. It has a "High Resolution" image capture tool.
With just a little PhotoShop magic, it all worked out.
