Downward compatibility question on .catproduct

So I am able to convert my V5R19 .catpart files to V5R16 (for a customer still using R16 - he knows there will be dumb solids - I am only doing what I am told) but I cannot seem to find an option that grabs the .catproduct files as well.  Am I missing something or is this not possible?

Thanks - Mike

How are you converting these files?
I would not use the "Downward Compatibility" utility in Catia. Use Step (214) files instead. Translates the top product files to step and take that step file back into R16. I've had really good luck with that. It should rebuild your product structure correctly.

I am converting the .catpart files using the Downward Compatibility utility but do not see an option for the .catproduct files.

The Downward Compatibility utility does not really work and should be avoided. You can Save either CATParts or CATProducts as STEP files and the result will be the same. STEP files will result in Dumb Solids as well and can be opened in any CATIA Release.
