Is anyone aware of any list of best practices, Dassault created or otherwise, for supported versions AND recommended settings for Internet Explorer, Java, and any other administrator or user configurable software that interacts with ENOVIA R2013x thin clients running on Windows7 and Windows10 platforms?

Hi Cameron,
A good start point is the Program Directory, which will give you
the supported versions - the link for 2013x is:
http://media.3ds.com/support/progdir/all/?pdir=v6,r2013x,update14&context=onpremises
Click on the V6 Thin Clients > S/W Requirements link in the left menu. The most important thing to note is that 2013x is not supported on Windows 10.
For specific IE settings etc., your reseller should be able to give you more details if needed.

Colin, thank you very much for your reply.
Since its been pointed out that some of our R2013x clients are using unsupported Windows 10, does anyone who is or has used this release of ENOVIA have recommended settings for Java and IE11? Some of the errors we have encountered and are unable to resolve include:
"Integration Applet is not loaded. Selecting any Designer Central's menu or view will not work correctly". (occurs on SOME Win10 clients, even though CATIA integration IS defined correctly)
"Not able to find unused port to start applet's ServerSocket" occurs on one Win7 client at logon time.

Hi Cameron,
No guarantees, but you can try the following:
Clear the IE cache
Clear the Java cache (from Start menu type Java, go to Configure
Java, on the General tab click Settings button, click Delete Files
button, tick everything, click OK, OK. Check the applets have
definitely gone by clicking the View button - if any are listed,
highlight and delete them)
Restore Java security prompts (on Security tab, click Restore
Security Prompts button)
Ensure your Enovia instance is listed in Java's Exception Site List
(also on the Security tab).
Ensure your Enovia instance is a trusted site in IE.

Hello,
Please consult your onsite DS support person also.
Yes, no win10 support on edge. Chrome and Firefox work about 80%. However, for IE11 what works for us:
-Depending on your company, ensure you don't use self-signed applets.
-Disable compat mode including for intranet sites (smartly without breaking other apps)
-Clear cache both in IE and the app's own Relod cache.
-Sorry no input on your two specific problems.

The "Integration Applet is not loaded" error was caused by installation and use of 64-bit Java rather than 32-bit. The rest of ENOVIA didn't seem to have a problem using 64-bit Java; however, the Integration Applet error occurred each time any Designer Central function was accessed, until 64-bit Java was replaced with 32-bit.
We never did find out the cause of the "Not able to find unused port to start applet's ServerSocket" error. The PC was wiped and reimaged and the error did not reoccur.
