Select an element or object automation command

I am looking for a power input command that will navigate and select elements or objects in CATIA's specification tree. Is there such a command?

It improves my test automation (Is It Right or IIR) for modifying points, lines, curves, and other items in the spec tree. I hope to call this command from the power input field and use it to feed the element or object name to the selection command.
