We've noticed that with our current Catia version (V5-6R2018 SP6 BD28 HF6) when generating CGR's the facets are now all grouped together instead of being individual entities as they were in the past. This creates an issue when we try to "snap" the CGR's into position for subsequent operations as we can't select the desired facets individually. This works perfectly in V5-6R2018 SP4 BD28. If anyone has encountered this issue and knows a workaround that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I also noticed this change in cgr. But it didn't affect my process setups at all because I leave engineering design part in its original coordinate system. Which is very crucial if there are more than one catproduct is used for mutiple setups.
So I developed a single product for multiple setups which was carefully designed to accommodate any number of setups. In process file each setup can use an instance of this single product.
It is not documented in online documentation. Ten years ago, I stumbled on it while doing some vb stuff. I have shown it to a few guys. Some really liked it and others didn't like to implement a change. Well.. 3DX will be a change for all CATIA users. And 3DX uses this methodology. V5 uses it too but for some reason 3ds folks missed it in their documentation.

HI Frank,
You can use The product as a product, and insert a part into the product and use that part for positioning.
Have look at this old thread
Click here for Rabbit hole CGR position
Hope this helps
