MFGPROG Speed Issues
We are using V4 & V5 for programming 3D parts. Believe me when I say V5 processes at least 4 times faster for all apps, including replays. One trick you may want to try with V4 roughing routines is to set your machining tolerance at .1 metric, instead of the .025 metric model tolerance. This will significantly increase the response time, especialy in local cavity roughing. this parameter is found on the options icon main panel, the second argument down from the top. Be sure to reset this value before finishing operations.

So how is V5 Manufacturing? Any good? Is it taking old V4 MFGPROG or is it entirely new?

MFGPROG Speed Issues

Hi!
I am bogged down by the slowness of MFGPROG.
Anyone knows about any Variable setting like CATMEM etc to be set for increasing the speed of MFGPROG.
Or any other system setting required for CATIA MFGPROG. I am using RS6000 44P 170 with 512MB RAM & the system gives Error of Not having enough PAGING SPACE but even increasing it does not help.

It takes hours together for computation & finally gives this error.
ANY EXPERIENCED & SATISFIED MFGPROG USERS LISTENING.

Please Help.

Bye & Thanks
